NATCAN Outlier Policy (NAoPri) 2025

The National Audit of Primary Breast Cancer (NAoPri) publishes risk-adjusted performance indicators of the quality of care received by people diagnosed with primary breast cancer. If the performance of a provider for a selected indicator falls outside a pre-specified defined range it will be flagged as an outlier.

The NATCAN Outlier Policy 2025 describes the process used by national cancer audits, including NAoPri, for managing providers flagged as outliers. This policy is based on established practices and aligns with HQIP’s ‘NCAPOP Outlier Guidance: Identification and management of outliers’ in England and Wales.
