About NOCA
The National Ovarian Cancer Audit (NOCA) evaluates the patterns of care and outcomes for women with ovarian cancer in England and Wales. It aims to provide granular information on diagnosis, treatment and surgery, and support services to improve the quality of care for these women.
The key stakeholders of NOCA are: NOCA Project Team members, members of NATCAN, Clinical Reference Group, PPI group, HQIP, NHS England, Welsh Government, Royal College of Surgeons of England, British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS).
Clinical information is collected for all women diagnosed with ovarian cancer (ICD 10 codes C48, C56, C57 and D39.1) in NHS hospitals in England and Wales (excluding borderline tumours and C48 sarcomas).
Yes, the NOCA is included in the Quality Accounts lists.

Methodology and Reporting
The quarterly data dashboard is updated in January, April, July and October. You can also refer to the “Update” tab on the dashboard, which displays the date of the next scheduled release. Our annual State of the Nation report is scheduled in June. The NOCA reports results at gynaecological cancer system level (‘hub and spoke’ model of gynaecological cancer systems and cancer units) or cancer alliance level apart from the ’emergency admissions prior to diagnosis’ performance indicator which is at NHS Trust level.
