NAoMe Scoping Document

The NAoMe is an audit of Metastatic Breast Cancer and part of the National Cancer Audit Collaborating Centre (NATCAN), based at the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS), and commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP).

Within the NAoMe Scoping Document, you can find

  • an overview of metastatic breast cancer and clinical guidelines,
  • results from the scoping survey carried out from February to April 2023,
  • audit inclusion/exclusion criteria,
  • priority areas identified for quality improvement,
  • review of relevant NABCOP & external indicators,
  • methodological considerations including the identification of patients with recurrent metastatic breast cancer within the routine national data available for the audit, and
  • next steps for the audit.
