NAoPri Scoping Document

The NAoPri is an audit of Primary Breast Cancer and part of the National Cancer Audit Collaborating Centre (NATCAN), based at the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS), and commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP).

Within the NAoPri Scoping Document you can find:

  • an overview of primary breast cancer and clinical guidelines,
  • a summary of key learnings from the previous National Audit of Breast Cancer in Older Patients (NABCOP),
  • results from the scoping survey carried out from February to April 2023,
  • audit inclusion/exclusion criteria,
  • priority areas identified for quality improvement,
  • review of relevant NABCOP & external indicators,
  • methodological considerations including the routine national data available for the audit, and
  • next steps for the audit.
