The NLCA team is launching a Quality Improvement (QI) intervention in October 2025. The focus of the intervention is on improving access to Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist (LCNS) care.
Our goals are as follows:
•Increase the proportion of patients receiving care from a LCNS
•Improve the completeness of LCNS data in Cancer Outcomes and Services Data set (COSD)
•Support NHS trusts to identify barriers and share solutions that improve LCNS access for all patients
The NLCA is working in collaboration with Lung Cancer Nursing UK (LCNUK) promoting shared learning and best practice across LCNS teams nationwide.
